HOA won’t help with termites destroying my home. What can I do?

I’m hoping someone here has advice or has been through something similar. I own a townhome in Broward County that’s part of an 8-units townhome. For over a year, I’ve been dealing with a severe termite infestation that is actively damaging my home.

I’ve documented everything. I have a full year’s worth of emails and written requests asking the HOA to step in and coordinate treatment. Since these are attached townhomes, tenting would require all units to be treated together, meaning coordination from the HOA is essential.

Here’s the problem: • The HOA has not helped at all, despite repeated requests. • Some of the units are rented out, and the owners or tenants don’t seem to care since they aren’t seeing visible damage (yet). • I can’t afford a lawyer, and honestly, I’m not sure legal action would get anywhere.

Does anyone know if there’s a formal complaint process in Broward County for situations like this? Or any local agency that could force the HOA to act? I feel stuck. I want to protect my home, but I can’t coordinate this alone.
