Anyone actually hiring?

1 month ago 45

If this is inappropriate I apologize.

We relocated to this area from Tampa last August.

I left a concierge/reception/assistant to the director job that I loved because I had a "better" job waiting. That ended in June unexpectedly.

Since then I have applied to countless jobs in the area. From Delray to Palm Gardens and have gotten very few replies. Not a single interview.

I admit, I do have a very eclectic resume.

I've worked in everything from bakery management, professional cooking, child care, elder care, administration work to office support. I have great references.

And I'm willing to take part time hours! I have my own health insurance! I'm reliable. I'm middle aged. No criminal history. Stable. Personable. Knowledgeable. Educated. Hygienic. I'm CPR certified for kids and adults! I'm continuing my education at PBSC FFS.

I would hire me!

So...what is going on? Is the job market slow? Is my work history too varied? Are staffing services reliable?

Or....

Am I the Typhoid Mary of the WPB area and no one told me? I am joking...but I am also pretty frustrated. It's been a month.

Am I being unreasonable? It's never seemed this hard before to get an interview. Now I can't even get a "no thanks"

Any suggestions? Hints? Please be kind or just ignore me. I appreciate all helpful input.
