Broward’s Top Cop Throws Punches — I’m Freezing the Evidence (and Asking for His Pee Cup Results)

1 week ago 29

Hey Broward, it’s your friendly neighborhood pain in the ass, Chaz Stevens.

Here’s the deal: Sheriff Gregory Tony just lobbed some heavy accusations at Deerfield Beach City Manager Rodney Brimlow — claiming Brimlow “knowingly” spread misinformation and even filed a false police report.

So today, I hand-delivered formal evidence preservation notices to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, FDLE, and City Hall. Translation: they are now on legal notice to lock down every single email, text, memo, Post-It, smoke signal — anything tied to those accusations or the city’s law enforcement contract fight.

And because public trust matters, I’m also demanding Sheriff Tony’s drug testing history while in office.

Why? Well…

According to NBC 6 South Florida and the Sun Sentinel, Tony admitted on a 2003 police job application to using LSD in 1995 and marijuana in ’95 and ’96 (got him bounced from that job). Then, in 2005, he “forgot” to mention the LSD when applying to Coral Springs PD. FDLE later said he lied multiple times on official documents about drug use, citations, and arrest history. Statute of limitations saved him from prosecution.

If you’re gonna be the top cop and take a public swing at another official, your own record better be cleaner than a Costco bathroom at 9:01 a.m.

I’ve also dropped a press release so the local media can have their fun too.

I’ll be publishing whatever comes back online for everyone to see — because sunlight is still the best disinfectant, even in Broward.
