Your sheriff. Your top cop. The guy who swears he’s keeping Broward safe?
Yeah — FDLE already caught him lying his ass off.
Straight from FDLE’s own investigative file (Case EI-14-0173):
- Murder Arrest (1993) – Philly cops popped Tony for murder and illegal guns. Acquitted. But the records? Vanished. Expunged. By who? No one knows. Oh, that file.
- Worthless Check – Bounced a check at FSU to buy books. Charged. Paid it back.
- NFL Fantasy – He claims he turned down an NFL career. Reality check: 12 yards, three years, benchwarmer. Bobby Boucher had a better stat line.
- Drug Use – Told one police agency he dropped acid. Told another he never touched drugs. Both on sworn forms. Pick a lie, Greg. Then again, maybe he was baked...
- License Lies – Multiple suspensions in PA and FL. Over and over, he checked “NO.” That’s called perjury.
- Sheriff Application – Gave the Governor a sob-story bio in 2019. Forgot the murder arrest. Forgot the drugs. Maybe he was high when he forgot being high.
- FDLE Affidavit (2020) – Swore he’d never had a record sealed or expunged. But that murder arrest? Expunged.
This isn’t gossip. This is FDLE’s own paperwork.
How to File Your Own FDLE Complaint
Sick of a liar with a badge? Here’s how you hit back:
- Go here → FDLE Complaint Form
- Select “Law Enforcement Officer Misconduct.”
- In your complaint, hammer these points:
- FDLE Case Number: EI-14-0173
- False statements on CJSTC Form 68 (2020)
- Lies on multiple sworn law enforcement applications.
- Demand FDLE explain why this guy still has a badge and a gun.
Tony once bragged he “has the power to do a lot of damage.”
Cool story, Sheriff. The public’s power is filing complaints until FDLE can’t ignore you.
Also, fuck right off.

Subject: Complaint Against Sheriff Gregory Tony – False Statements / Misconduct
To: Florida Department of Law Enforcement – Internal Affairs
I am filing a formal complaint regarding Broward Sheriff Gregory Scott Tony.
According to FDLE Case Number: EI-14-0173, Sheriff Tony has a documented history of:
- False statements on sworn applications (law enforcement employment, CJSTC Form 68, and Florida driver’s license forms).
- Failure to disclose a 1993 murder arrest in Philadelphia (expunged but confirmed by FDLE’s own investigation).
- Contradictory drug use admissions (self-reported LSD use to one agency, denied drug use to another).
- Repeated misrepresentation of license suspensions in Pennsylvania and Florida.
Most concerning: on CJSTC Form 68 (2020), Sheriff Tony swore under oath that he never had a record sealed or expunged. This is false. FDLE’s own report confirms his Philadelphia murder arrest was expunged.
I request FDLE immediately investigate:
- Sheriff Tony’s false statements on sworn applications.
- Whether his law enforcement certification should be revoked.
- Why these discrepancies have been allowed to continue despite FDLE documentation.
The public deserves a sheriff who follows the law, not one who lies under oath.
Sincerely,
