I've lived in Fort Lauderdale for almost 40 years, over the past 6 months community Enhancement has been constantly coming by our house about a list of things to do, one of which being to plant new grass. We did our best to comply (and still are) but feel a bit singled out and almost harassed considering the neighborhood I live in is by in large a low income community and there are some really crazy looking homes in the neighborhood. Meanwhile, I can't go to my local gas station or wal-mart without being approached by a homeless person or even called a cracker! I can't help but wonder if tax dollars allocated to community Enhancement would be better if pointed at much larger issues in our community than harassing working families about grass in the yard of they're own home. They literally have a whole department of salaries paying people to bother residents about their homes while a drive down broward blvd. Will give anyone an upfront seat of what I mean. Government seems to have their priorities mixed up.
