DMV Nightmare

I recently purchased a condo and need to update my address on my license in order to file for Homestead Exemption.

When I log into my FLHSMV profile, it tells me that I cannot do this online because I don’t have a real ID (except I do have a Real ID). The name on my account is also my previous name which I recently updated at the DMV. I’m not sure why the information in my account but there are no options to edit it online.

I have called hundreds of time and gotten thru once and it did not solve the problem.

I gave up on that and started scheduling an appointment to have to update my address in my person at the DMV. I’ve no scheduled an appointment three times and never once have I received the text to confirm it.

I am truly at a loss at this point on what I can do to simply update my address. Does anyone know of a way to file for homestead without completing this step? I have a FL ID and plenty of ways to prove that I own and have primary residency in the condo.

This shouldn’t be this hard. Help.
