Housing Recommendations?

Hi all! I’ll be relocating to Florida mid-August due to accepting a job. I feel so overwhelmed with all of the apartments and half of them are out of my price range anyways. Then when they are in range, they seem to not be in too great of an area.

My limit is $1900 after utilities if that’s even doable, but can anyone recommend me specific neighborhoods to look into? I’d be okay with staying outside of Fort Lauderdale and in Pompano Beach or surrounding areas.

I’d love to hear streets & neighborhoods to steer clear of but also what ones to look into. I’m a younger professional living alone so safety is crucial.
