This is weird and I need someone to explain what happened. Built my first pc about 6 months ago (ryzen 5 7600, rtx 4060, 32gb ddr5) and its been running fine but always felt like temps were slightly higher than they should be. Not terrible but like mid 70s on cpu during gaming when reviews said low to mid 60s.
Last week my cat jumped on my desk, knocked my whole tower over while it was running. I totally panicked and immediately shut it down. Waited like an hour before turning it back on expecting the worst.
But now my temps are actually better? Like noticeably better. CPU sits at 58-62 during the same games. I checked and everything still works, no artifacts or crashes or anything. I didnt touch anything inside, literally just picked it up and put it back.
My only guess is maybe my aio cooler had an air bubble or something and the fall like... redistributed it? Or maybe a mounting screw was slightly loose and the impact somehow tightened it?? Idk that sounds dumb but I cant think of what else would cause this.
Has anyone experienced something like this or am I just imagining the difference? Part of me wants to tip it over again to see if it gets even better lol but I probably shouldnt push my luck. At least I got some saved money from not having to replace anything I guess
