We've been renting and living in a house in South Florida (Broward County, Fort Lauderdale) for 2 years. We were expecting to re-sign our lease at the end of the month (9/31). We just heard through the grapevine that the landlord/owner might be selling the property. Also heard thru the grapevine he wants to jack the rent from $3k to $3.5k...
What are our rights regarding notice? Most info I find online says 60 days but IDK how that works if the owner is selling the property.
-can he hike the rent with less than a month notice?
-can he sell the property if there's a current lease agreement?
