Wanted to share my experience in case anyone who was there sees this.
Was driving in from the beach and a train crosses, prompting the barriers to close. Really really slow train, extremely long and seemingly empty. about 5 minutes into its crossing, it stops. 10 minutes, no movement. At this point some of the trucks in the 3 lanes of stopped cars jump the high median, make a u-turn, and get out of there. A few minutes pass, more and more cars do this. Eventually the police came but could do nothing because the queue of cars was so so long. Finally the train moves again, still fery slowly. It was very long so it took a few minutes to clear. This must have closed at least 2 other roads simultaneously.
