Trying to find a tech job in Fort Lauderdale, any advice ?

Hey Guys,

I graduated back in 2024 with my BS in comp sci and it has been a challenge trying to land my first tech job here in south florida, both fort lauderdale and miami. I’ve applied to countless of roles and the amount of interviews i’ve gotten is low. Most of the companies here seem to ghost or you don’t hear back til like a month later (at least in my case). I’ve had my resume reviewed countless of times and mostly the main feedback I’ve gotten is florida is not great for tech but I can’t leave the state at the moment.

If anyone has any advice or tips for entry level candidates trying to break into software engineering or cybersecurity, I’d really appreciate it! Also open to networking tips, events, or anything that may help.
