We built a dating app that only works if you show up in person. Let’s talk — would this work in Fort Lauderdale?

After years of swiping, ghosting, and aimless chats that go nowhere, I got tired of how disconnected everything feels.

So I built something different: It’s called Bente — a new kind of app where you check in at real places (bars, cafés, events), pick what you’re actually looking for (flirting, friends, collabs), and use quick in-person games to break the ice. No swiping. No pressure. Just real interaction, if you want it.

We’re starting to test it in the area and I’d love feedback from people here. Would Fort Lauderdale even want something like this? What venues should we check out? Who’s tired of the same old dating app cycle?
