FEMA budget cuts happening as hurricane season begins — what’s the plan, Miami?

1 week ago 18

Hey y’all,

With hurricane season officially here, I’ve been thinking a lot about the recent news on FEMA’s funding being cut. Living in Miami, we know how unpredictable these storms can get — and how much we depend on disaster relief when things go south.

It’s honestly a bit unsettling to think we might have fewer resources if a major storm hits. Has anyone started prepping or doing anything differently this year because of it? I’m starting to gather supplies just in case, but it’s definitely got me on edge.

Curious how everyone else is approaching this. Are you changing up your prep this year, or just planning to ride it out like usual?

Stay safe, Miami.
