How learning to fix my own bike changed how I see money forever

1 week ago 20

Last year my old bike chain snapped on my way to work. I almost threw it out, thinking it wasn’t worth fixing, but a friend convinced me to try doing it myself. I spent $12 on a cheap repair kit and watched a few YouTube tutorials. It took me two hours, but when I finished and the bike worked again, I felt something shift in my head. Since then, I’ve stopped outsourcing every small inconvenience. I patch my own clothes, fix squeaky doors, sharpen knives, even cut my own hair once (mixed results). It’s not just about saving money anymore, it’s about realizing how capable I actually am.
