Hybrid Work Being Shelfed at FIU

As an important university within the city of Miami, FIU is pivotal in helping work towards providing prospective learners and current learners a great education, which is vital as they will most likely serve as the workforce for employers here in Miami. I share this petition to bring awareness to the issue that FIU is currently experiencing. Shortly after being approved as President of FIU, former lieutenant governor Jeanette Nunez, along with the Board Of Trustees, chose to take away employees benefits of hybrid work and shift to a fully in person model, which robs employees of the opportunity of flexibility, as hybrid work has been a thing at FIU since the pandemic and is one of the few reasons why FIU has been growing rapidly compared to other institutions across the country. I know people who will be personally affected by this.
