So after having the 5 string Bongo for about a month now, it is slowly spoiling me.
I’ve mostly been playing the Bongo versus my other two basses. Fender Precision and Jazz. Both 4 string.
It’s really not the string count that makes it hard to switch back-and-forth between them. It’s how much better the Bongo plays. Almost effortless compared to the Fenders.
So… I’m very much giving thought to selling one of the Fenders and picking up a 4 string EBMM Stingray.
I’d love to hear from some Stingray owners as to how well it plays in comparison to other basses you may have played.
Even better… Are there players out there that have both Stingray and Bongo basses and do they compare as far as playability?
TIA
