picked up guitar three months ago and video game soundtracks are genuinely the best thing to learn from

shifts are rough because I work in healthcare, needed something to decompress that wasn't just staring at a screen. always loved film and game music so that's where i started. turns out stuff like the skyrim theme or simple joe hisaishi pieces are actually really approachable for beginners and sound incredible even when you're not that good yet. there's something about playing music you already have an emotional connection to that makes the frustrating parts worth pushing through. anyone else learning specifically from soundtracks or game music? feels like an underrated entry point that nobody talks about enough.
