I understand that rent overall in Miami is expensive and I keep tabs on rent pretty often, because I’ve been looking to leave my apt which is already at mid 3’s and I noticed new buildings like Elemi at the grove is $7000 for a 2/2 and nobody has been renting so they’re offering up to 3 months free, and same with the new building that opened up by south Miami Avalon. 2/2 for $4800 in an area where rent is predominately less than $3600 for a 2/2 and a one bedroom is $3800 ?
It doesn’t make sense to me that these people would go for these insane prices and who’s actually paying for this? How can you be sane to charge these prices when you could live in practically a beautiful apartment overlooking the bay in Brickell instead of paying $7000 to live in the grove where you have condemned apartments within 100 feet.
It also just drives me crazy knowing rent has been going down everywhere in Miami and new buildings like this pop up expecting upper east side manhattan prices in the suburbs.
