Why is it MORE expensive to get a mocktail, than it is to get a drink?

2 days ago 11

Just what the title says.... Why is it that places are charging as much (sometimes more) for a mocktail?? Are they punishing people for not drinking and being in a social environment? Or they just enticing people to drink because it's cheaper?

It makes no sense to me, I'm hoping someone with restaurant experience can make it make sense....

Go ahead I'll wait....
